A man is recovering at home after being attacked by two pit bulls during an evening run in Wynwood. Evan Motolong was running with his dog, Indie, when the two pit bulls suddenly charged at him.
Attack Details
Motolong jumped in to save his dog and was bitten on the arm. According to witnesses, the dog owner then ordered the dogs to attack Motolong, who also suffered a black eye.
Video footage appears to show the two pit bulls off their leash with their owner. Motolong is now hoping his story helps prevent similar incidents from happening to others.
People shouldn’t have to look over their shoulder, wondering if their family member, including their dog, is going to get attacked or potentially killed, Motolong said.
Detectives have informed Motolong that they intend to arrest the man responsible for the attack. As of Saturday evening, no arrest has been confirmed.
