Convention Details
Richard Olson, a magician from Texas, is attending the convention and demonstrated a trick where he put a second hole in a rivet washer. The convention will also feature a world-record escape attempt by 300 magicians on Thursday morning.
Dan Rodriguez, Society of American Magicians Convention Co-Executive Director, said the convention was brought to Appleton because of its connection to Houdini. The city is home to the History Museum at the Castle, which has exhibits on Houdini’s life and career.
