The Orlando Magic waived forward Jonathan Isaac on Saturday, a day before his full 2026-27 salary would have become guaranteed. Isaac, 28, was set to earn $14.5 million for the upcoming season, but the Magic will now owe him $8 million instead.

Career Stats

Isaac has played his entire seven-year NBA career with the Magic, although he missed the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons due to injuries. In 328 NBA games, he has averaged 6.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game.

In the 2025-26 season, Isaac produced the worst stats of his career, averaging 2.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.4 assists in 52 games, all as a reserve. The Magic selected Isaac with the sixth overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft out of Florida State.
