The Dakota Scout has a new curator for The Lounge arts, entertainment and culture section. Lyrical Limelight, a Sioux Falls-based independent alternative media outlet, will be partnering with The Scout. This collaboration strengthens The Scout’s mission of supporting quality local journalism and creative content that enriches the community.

Some of the upcoming events include the Vietnam Veterans Memorial replica and Mobile Education Center in Brookings, the Spearfish gravel cycling event, and the Dell Rapids community carnival. There will also be a summer festival in Rapid City, a concert at the Levitt at the Falls in Sioux Falls, and a performance of Legally Blonde at the Orpheum Theater Center.
