Lucid Group and Bolt announced a joint effort to launch a large‑scale robotaxi service throughout Europe. The partnership will see 25,000 fully autonomous Lucid vehicles operating in major European cities, forming the first phase of Bolt’s goal to run 100,000 autonomous vehicles by 2035.

The robotaxis will be built on Lucid’s upcoming Midsize platform and will use Nvidia’s Hyperion autonomous‑vehicle architecture. Both companies will co‑develop a vehicle platform ready for SAE Level 4 automation, allowing the cars to operate without driver intervention within defined operating conditions and areas.

Bolt’s autonomous‑driving unit will set vehicle, software, safety and rider‑experience standards, while also constructing the necessary fleet infrastructure, operating systems and city partnerships. Bolt intends to own and operate the entire fleet.
