A Louisville man is facing a long list of charges, including kidnapping and assaulting a police officer, after he was arrested Thursday morning. Glenn Keith, 31, was wanted in connection to a double shooting earlier this year.
Incident Details
Court records say police were in the area of Johnsontown Road and Dixie Highway when they saw Keith at a Circle K with another person. Police said Keith drove off from the gas station and turned into a neighborhood where other officers were waiting to assist in his arrest.
Keith allegedly rammed a police vehicle when an officer was getting out of the vehicle and had his leg pinned in the door. Court records say Keith then hit three other police vehicles. After struggling to get away, Keith threw a pistol on the dashboard of the vehicle and was taken into custody.
Prior to being arrested, police say on June 11, Keith shot two men in Lyndon and kidnapped a third man. Keith is accused of zip tying the third man’s hands and hitting him in the face with a handgun. He then allegedly forced the victim into a vehicle and made him call his father and asked for $1,300.
Police say Keith kept the victim at a location for several hours until the money was dropped off by his father. Keith is facing the following charges: 3 counts of second-degree assault, assault of a police officer, kidnapping, 2 counts of convicted felon in possession of a handgun, wanton endangerment of a police officer, attempting to flee or evade police in a motor vehicle, and operating on a suspended or revoked driver’s license.
