Louisville Main Library Renovations Progress

Louisville’s main library, located at 301 York Street in downtown, has been closed for more than half a year for a major $8 million renovation. Mayor Craig Greenberg recently shared an update on the progress, including several pictures showing the work being done at the library branch.

Renovation Details

The renovation will add more than 16,000 square feet of public space, expand meeting rooms, and create a fully accessible entrance. Officials said the renovations could take up to a year to finish. To mitigate disruptions, the city has added hours at nearby branches to support those who rely on library services.
