Lost Island Theme Park in Waterloo, Iowa, announced a new family coaster, Forbidden Lair, to be added in 2027. The 910-foot-long shuttle coaster will feature a unique design, including airtime hills, turns, and a tunnel underneath the park’s footpaths.
Coaster Details
The ride will begin by ascending a 79-foot hill going backwards, then releasing the coaster train into a series of airtime hills, turns, and a tunnel. The coaster will stop at a spike and go the whole thing again going backwards, reaching a top speed of 38 miles per hour.
Rocky Mountain Construction, known for its intense hybrid coasters, is breaking into the family coaster market with this new installation. The park released an animated POV of the ride on its social media channels.
