Students from Texarkana, Texas, and surrounding areas have been recognized for their academic achievements in the spring 2026 semester. These honors highlight the dedication and hard work of local students in higher education.

Graduations

Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport recently held its commencement exercises. Among the graduates were Yancey Upchurch from Bivins, Texas, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and Shelby Anderson from Texarkana, Texas, who graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History.

Academic Honors

Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, announced its Dean’s List for the spring 2026 semester, which includes Benjamin Soyars from Texarkana, Texas. Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, recognized Avery Whitlow from Atlanta, Texas, on its President’s Honor Roll.

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana announced its Chancellor’s Honor Roll and Vice Chancellor’s List.
