Judge William Sullivan warned of ‘inappropriate comments’ in the Lindsay Clancy trial after a heated exchange between the judge and Defense Attorney Kevin Reddington. The trial is for the murder of Clancy’s three children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan.
Heated Exchange
Reddington accused one of the prosecutors of saying ‘Shut her up!’ during the playing of an autopsy, which the prosecution denied, saying the person was actually saying ‘Shut it off’ to take down the autopsy photos. Clancy sobbed uncontrollably as jurors viewed the autopsy photos.
Defense attorneys argue that Clancy was too mentally ill to bear criminal responsibility for her actions, while prosecutors say she acted intentionally. Dr. Jennifer Tufts, a psychiatrist who treated Clancy before the killings, was called to testify but was excused before cross-examination could begin.
