Lindsay Clancy, a Massachusetts mother, is on trial for the murder of her three children. Her former father-in-law, Christopher Clancy, testified that she was ‘very protective’ of her family and struggled with mental health issues.
Autopsy Testimony
Dr. Kimberley Springer, a medical examiner, described the autopsy of one of the children, Callan Clancy. The images from the autopsy were not shown to the public, but were visible to the jury.
Lindsay Clancy cried during the testimony and was visibly emotional when a video of her child was played in court. Her defense team has asked to include testimony from three witnesses, including a doctor who would discuss her ‘suicide attempt’.
Defense Witnesses
The defense team has asked to include testimony from Dr. Elizabeth Laposata, Dr. Michael Vulfovich, and Dr. Donald Condie. The prosecution has objected to their inclusion, arguing that their testimony is not relevant to the case.
The judge has not yet decided on the motion, but said he would consider the issues overnight. The trial is ongoing, with the prosecution presenting their case against Lindsay Clancy.
