Imagine being a veteran, struggling to adjust to life after service, and feeling like you’re all alone. For many, this is a harsh reality. The statistics are staggering: veterans are more likely to experience PTSD, suicide, and social isolation than the general population. It’s a problem that demands attention and action. That’s where Twin Rotors Mission comes in, an organization dedicated to providing support and services to veterans and first responders.
The Mission of Twin Rotors
Twin Rotors Mission was founded by Paula Morgan, an Army veteran who understands firsthand the challenges of transitioning back to civilian life. After serving from 1987 to 1995, Morgan struggled to find her place in the world. But it wasn’t until she started volunteering with other organizations that she found her true calling. ‘I was contacted by a veteran advocate with regard to a Vietnam War veteran who was going to be evicted from his apartment because he had not been making his payments,’ Morgan recalled. ‘We started working with this veteran advocate and the veteran to assist him with finding resources that he needed.’ This experience sparked the idea for Twin Rotors Mission, which aims to provide a range of services and programs tailored to the unique needs of veterans and first responders.
Programs and Services
Twin Rotors Mission offers a range of programs and services, from military reboot and first responder reboot to creative arts and quilting groups. The organization also has a robust support system, including a program called Operation Comiratery, which focuses on the wellness aspect of supporting veterans and first responders. ‘We do military reboot and first responder reboot,’ Morgan explained. ‘Both of those are history in the making in the sense that we’re the first organization to be able to offer that to individuals in our area here.’ The organization also has a strong focus on community and connection, recognizing that social isolation is a major challenge for many veterans and first responders.
The Importance of Community
For Sam Horwitz and David Solerno, hosts of A Badge of Honor TV, the work of Twin Rotors Mission is a shining example of the impact that can be made when people come together to support a common cause. ‘We’re boots on the ground making a difference,’ Horwitz said. ‘We’re America’s only Christian conservative wireless provider with nationwide coverage on all three major networks and 100% U.S.-based customer service.’ The organization’s commitment to supporting veterans and first responders is inspiring, and a reminder that there are many ways to make a difference in the lives of those who have served.
In the end, the mission of Twin Rotors is a powerful reminder of the importance of community and connection. By providing a range of services and programs tailored to the unique needs of veterans and first responders, the organization is helping to lift warriors to new heights. As Morgan so eloquently put it, ‘It’s not about us. It’s not about A Badge of Honor. It’s not about Twin Rotors Mission. It’s about those who served, those who passed, and their families that are still moving on.’ The full episode of A Badge of Honor TV is available on OBBM Network TV.
