Las Vegas – The nonprofit organization Unshakeable celebrated a milestone this week, marking ten years of service to women recovering from trauma, homelessness, and human trafficking. The 10th Anniversary Celebration took place on Thursday, Oct. 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the F1 Arcade inside The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.
Mission rooted in recovery and self‑sufficiency
Founded in 2016, Unshakeable’s mission is to guide women in Las Vegas as they rebuild their lives and achieve financial independence. The organization focuses on survivors of human trafficking, domestic and sexual violence, addiction, and homelessness, offering a structured path from crisis to career.
Empower to Employ program delivers results
Over the past decade, more than 750 women have completed Unshakeable’s signature Empower to Employ program. The curriculum begins with the “I AM” series, which helps participants develop confidence and clarify goals. From there, each woman receives personalized career coaching, job‑search assistance, and connections to meaningful employment opportunities. According to Unshakeable, 82 % of program participants have secured steady employment after completing the program.
Collaboration with local partners
Unshakeable works closely with several other Las Vegas nonprofits, including SafeNest, Safe House, the Foundation for Recovery, and West Care. These partnerships expand the range of services available to women, from safe housing to addiction treatment, ensuring a comprehensive support network.
Community support and sponsors
The anniversary event was made possible by sponsors Western Alliance Bank, First Class NV, Anthem, and Trajectory Consultants. Their contributions underscore the broader community’s commitment to empowering women and strengthening families throughout the city.
Looking ahead
As Unshakeable looks to the future, the organization plans to expand its outreach, increase the number of women served, and deepen collaborations with local agencies. By continuing to provide practical job training and emotional support, Unshakeable aims to help even more women achieve lasting financial independence and become pillars of their families and neighborhoods.
