Las Vegas is rolling out a citywide tourism push. The Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority (LVCVA) announced the return of its “5‑Day Sale” on Sept. 22, a five‑day promotion designed to bring travelers back to the Strip and downtown area.
Why the sale matters
According to LVCVA data, the city welcomed about 3.1 million fewer visitors in 2025 than in 2024 – a 7.5% decline and the steepest drop since record‑keeping began in 1970, not counting the pandemic years. Yet the latest monthly figures show a modest rebound: through July, visitor volume was flat year‑to‑date, up 0.5%, and July itself recorded a 2.7% year‑over‑year increase, the strongest monthly gain of the year.
What the sale includes
The LVCVA listed 180 deals that run from Tuesday, Sept. 22 through Saturday, Sept. 26. Discounts cover accommodations, dining, entertainment and attractions across the Strip and downtown. Highlights include:
- Hotel discounts: Up to 60% off rooms at Caesars properties, 50% off at MGM Resorts hotels, and special packages at the STRAT, Circa, Wynn & Encore, Boyd Gaming, Fontainebleau, and SAHARA.
- Entertainment savings: $50 tickets to select shows, $30 off “Absinthe” at Caesars Palace, up to 50% off the Atomic Saloon Show at the Venetian, and 10%‑30% off Cirque du Soleil productions.
- Attraction offers: 20% off The Mob Museum, 10% off Dig This heavy‑machinery experiences, up to $50 off Grand Canyon and Strip helicopter flights, and discounts on museum, tour and dining experiences.
- Wedding specials: Free bouquet from Little White Wedding Chapel and $200 upgrades on Elvis Pink Cadillac packages at Viva Las Vegas Chapel.
Industry response
Kate Wik, chief marketing officer for the LVCVA, said in a release, “Vegas is where travelers come to trade the expected for the unforgettable.” Earlier this year, MGM Resorts reported that half of guests who booked its all‑inclusive packages at Luxor and Excalibur were first‑time visitors – a figure the company called “startling” but “promising” for future growth.
How to find the deals
A complete list of offers is available on the LVCVA website. Travelers can book directly through participating hotels or via the sale’s dedicated portal, which aggregates the discounts for easy comparison.
Looking ahead
Local officials hope the promotion will not only lift occupancy rates this fall but also set a positive trajectory for the 2026 tourism season. With the city’s economy heavily tied to visitor spending, the 5‑Day Sale represents a proactive effort to restore the vibrant hospitality market that defines Las Vegas.
