The City of Las Cruces is preparing for a week of family-friendly events to celebrate the 4th of July. The celebrations will begin on Tuesday, June 30, and will feature live music, food vendors, and interactive activities at the Doña Ana County Fairgrounds.
Event Schedule
From Tuesday to Thursday, the fairgrounds will host a variety of activities, including mechanical bull riding, a ninja obstacle course, and a drone show. On Tuesday, Proyecto Uno will perform at 8 p.m. On Wednesday, American Idol’s Top 14 contestant Julian Kalel will perform at 6 p.m. On Thursday, Joe Nichols will perform at 7:30 p.m.
On July 3, the annual Electric 5k and One-Mile Fun Run will take place at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, starting at 7:30 p.m. The Electric Light Parade will begin at 9 p.m. at Apodaca Park and will travel south on Solano Drive, east on Hadley Avenue, and end at the Maag Softball Complex.
On July 4, the annual Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks Celebration will feature live music from Triple Jack at 6:45 p.m. and 49 Winchester at 8 p.m. at NMSU Pat & Lou Sisbarro Community Park. The fireworks display will begin at 9:45 p.m.
