Jennivee’s Bakery & Cafe in Lakeview, Chicago, created a custom birthday cake for Charli XCX, a three-time Grammy winner, ahead of her Lollapalooza headlining performance.
A Custom Cake for a Special Occasion
The cake was a miniature replica of the Lollapalooza stage, with a geometric design and the message ‘Happy Headliner Birthday Charli’ written in blue icing. The cake was vanilla with raspberry filling, Charli’s favorite flavors.
The bakery’s team, led by cake artist Emily Mercer, worked on the cake for four days to complete the custom order. The cake was delivered to Charli’s hotel on the day of her performance.
As a thank-you, Charli’s team gave the bakery staff VIP passes to Lollapalooza, allowing them to watch the headliner perform on the stage they had recreated in cake form.
