A 61-year-old Lakeland man with an active warrant was taken into custody Wednesday night following a brief foot pursuit, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrived at a residence on Thomasville Circle around 10:45 p.m. on July 22, 2026, searching for Brian Keith Digrazia. Digrazia was wanted on an active warrant for violation of probation tied to underlying charges of trafficking in amphetamines, driving while license suspended, and tampering with physical evidence.
According to authorities, deputies heard a male voice inside the apartment while at the front door. Moments later, Digrazia ran out from the back of the residence. Deputies pursued Digrazia on foot and took him into custody shortly after the chase began.
Following his arrest on the outstanding warrant, Digrazia was additionally charged with resisting an officer without violence for fleeing from deputies.
Records provided by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office show Digrazia’s prior criminal history includes charges for grand theft, trafficking in stolen property, burglary, robbery, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and multiple narcotics violations.
