Kyle Busch’s Bundle of Joy Fund Brings Hope to Families Battling Infertility

The legacy of NASCAR driver Kyle Busch extends beyond his achievements on the racetrack. His philanthropic efforts through the Bundle of Joy Fund have brought hope to many families struggling with infertility, including the Lizarazo family from Charlotte.

Overcoming Infertility Challenges

Jessica Lizarazo, an elementary school art teacher, and her husband, who runs a small business, faced years of heartache as they tried to conceive. Despite their efforts and various fertility treatments, they were unable to start a family. Jessica experienced an ectopic pregnancy, which required emergency surgery, adding to their financial burdens.

In 2018, the Lizarazos applied for a grant from the Bundle of Joy Fund, established by Kyle and Samantha Busch in 2015. The fund was created after the couple’s own struggles with infertility and aims to alleviate the financial strain of in vitro fertilization (IVF) for families in need.

A Life-Changing Grant

Jessica recalls the moment they received the grant as a turning point. Samantha Busch personally delivered the news along with a $20,000 grant, providing the Lizarazos with the opportunity to undergo their first IVF procedure. This support led to the birth of their daughter, Lola, in 2019, followed by their son, Mason, 15 months later.

Today, Lola and Mason are thriving, and the Lizarazo family is part of a supportive community formed by the Bundle of Joy Fund. They participate in annual gatherings with other families who have benefited from the fund, fostering connections and sharing their journeys.

A Lasting Legacy

Though Kyle Busch’s passing is felt deeply by those he touched, his legacy lives on through the Bundle of Joy Fund. The Lizarazo family, along with many others, continues to honor his memory by participating in events like the Catwalk for a Cause in Charlotte, which raises funds for the charity.

Jessica Lizarazo reflects on the impact of the fund, stating, “He’s going to leave a legacy of life.” The fund has distributed over $2 million in grants, offering hope and the chance for families to experience the joy of parenthood.

For those interested in supporting the cause or applying for a grant, more information is available through the Bundle of Joy Fund’s website.
