Kurowski Dairy to Host 2026 Shawano County Brunch on the Farm

The Kurowski Dairy, a family-owned farm in Shawano County, will host the 2026 Brunch on the Farm on June 28. This annual event, organized by the Shawano County Farm Bureau, is a cherished part of Wisconsin’s June Dairy Month, offering attendees a glimpse into the daily operations of a traditional family farm.

A Family Tradition

Owned by Gloria and Cletus Kurowski since 1990, the farm is a testament to family commitment and agricultural heritage. Their daughter, Tia Arndt, and son, Travis Kurowski, have joined the family business, ensuring its continuity. The farm’s operations include milking 130 cows and managing nearly 700 acres of cropland.

The Kurowski family, including Tia’s husband, Harlow Arndt, and their children, as well as Travis’s fiancée, Bella Schroeder, all contribute to the farm’s success. This collaborative effort highlights the importance of family in maintaining and growing the farm’s legacy.

Modernizing Tradition

Since hosting the event in 2014, the Kurowskis have made significant improvements, such as upgrading to a modern swing-10 milking parlor and adding a calf barn. These enhancements ensure healthier livestock and demonstrate the family’s dedication to sustainable farming practices.

Christa Hoffman, General Chair of Brunch on the Farm, emphasizes the event’s role in celebrating Wisconsin’s dairy tradition. “Partnering with Kurowski Dairy allows us to continue this educational and family-focused event,” she said. The Kurowskis welcome the community to experience farm life and understand agriculture’s impact on daily life.
