A group of investors, including former major leaguer Chan Ho Park and K-pop star Suga, have purchased a stake in the Athletics. The investment group, Team61, has committed $55 million now and $15 million more if Major League Baseball approves the deal.

Chan Ho Park, who pitched for 17 seasons in the majors, will become the first Korean-born owner and investor in the Athletics. He will also serve as a senior adviser to A’s owner John Fisher and advise the team’s ownership group on player development and Asia initiatives.
Park expressed his excitement about the opportunity, stating that he hopes to create more opportunities for the next generation of players. The Athletics are scheduled to begin playing in a $2 billion domed stadium on the Las Vegas Strip in 2028.
