King Philip Regional High School softball coach Kate Fallon-Comeau is retiring after a successful season. The team recently won the Division 2 Final with a 14-1 win over Somerset Berkley Regional High School.
A Successful Career
Fallon-Comeau has been coaching for 20 years and joined King Philip seven years ago during the pandemic. She built a strong team culture based on trust, teamwork, and hard work.
Fallon-Comeau gives credit to her family for her success, particularly her father, who was a longtime high school referee. Although he passed away in 2021, she believes he is still with her, saying, “He’s behind home plate every game.”
The state title is a well-deserved honor, and the team was invited to Beacon Hill for a special recognition. Fallon-Comeau will continue to watch from the bleachers, hoping the program will continue to grow without her.
