Modern Woodmen of America hosted a kindness challenge at Adventureland, where about 500 members donated boxes of crayons to benefit local schools and community organizations.
In return, participants received two ‘Do Good’ bracelets, one to keep and one to give to a stranger they see doing something kind. The goal of the initiative was to create a chain reaction of kindness throughout the park.
Modern Woodmen’s Fraternal Director Keri Rursch said the main goal of the event was to give back to their members and to their communities. ‘One of the ways we’re trying to build community is by encouraging people to call others out for the good that they’re doing,’ Rursch said.
