Leavitt, 28, became White House press secretary in January 2025 after serving as a spokesperson for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. She had also worked in his first administration and previously ran for Congress in New Hampshire. Trump said Leavitt will remain involved as an outside adviser and continue to have a role in Republican politics. A replacement for the press secretary position has not yet been announced.
