A tragic incident occurred in Winfield, Kansas, where a father of four young children called 911 to report that he had killed his entire family before turning the gun on himself in an apparent murder-suicide, police said.
Investigation Underway
Authorities who responded to the home found six people dead inside, including three girls and one boy between the ages of 3 and 9, according to police. The victims also included the mother of the four children.
The 911 call came in at approximately 8:50 a.m. CT, with the man stating that he had killed his entire family and was getting ready to kill himself. Officers ultimately breached the front door, where they found the six family members dead inside.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation identified the victims as Kelly George, 44, and her four children. The agency identified the suspect as 53-year-old Ronald Williams Sr., the father of the children.
A motive remains under investigation, and authorities have been interviewing neighbors. The police chief noted that there had been reports of erratic behavior from the suspect in recent weeks.
