Taylor North Little League, the Michigan District 5 champions, opened the series with a 6-1 victory over New Jersey. Italy shut out Australia 4-0, with Josef Foli starting and pitching three shutout innings.
Games are being played on World Series Field, with parking and admission available for $5 per car. Fans can enjoy bench grandstand seating, berm seating, and food stands around the diamond.
