Longtime WLWT reporter John London was inducted into the Greater Cincinnati Journalism Hall of Fame on Thursday night. John, a Middletown native who started at WLWT in 1984, was inducted alongside three other journalists.
Background and Career
John was recruited by then-WLWT anchor Jerry Springer, after they covered the 1983 Air Canada fire in Greater Cincinnati the year prior. John is known for his encyclopedia-like knowledge of people and events in Cincinnati.
He was inducted to the Greater Cincinnati Journalism Hall of Fame alongside longtime Cincinnati Enquirer reporter Kathy Doane and two of WCPO’s original anchors – the late Jon Esther and Jack Helsel.
