J Waldrip Guitar Studio has opened its doors in downtown Round Rock, offering weekly guitar lessons to students of all skill levels. The studio is owned by Jeremy Waldrip, who holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Texas.
About the Owner
Jeremy Waldrip, originally from Memphis, Tennessee, moved to the area to pursue his master’s and doctorate. He has been teaching students in Central Texas for several years and is now bringing his expertise to downtown Round Rock.
Waldrip offers 30-, 45-, and 60-minute lessons, which are billed monthly. Students are required to bring their own guitars. According to Waldrip, ‘Music and guitar—you can learn so much from it beyond where to put your fingers. It teaches how to learn.’
