Indiana University, playing as Team USA, beat the Virgin Islands 99-57 on Monday in the gold medal game of the FISU America Games in Lima, Peru.
Tournament MVP
Junior forward Aiden Sherrell scored 10 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and had two blocks on his way to being named Tournament MVP. Junior Bryce Lindsay led the Hoosiers in the final with 17 points. Freshman Trevor Manhertz scored 15 and junior Darren Harris 13.
Sherrell finished the four games with 58 points and 31 rebounds. Freshman Vaughn Karvala only scored four points in the final, but led the Hoosiers with 65 points in the tournament. The Hoosiers won their four games by an average of 61.3 points.
