Iowa State kicked off fall camp on Wednesday under new head coach Jimmy Rogers. This is the second straight year Rogers is building a team from scratch. The emphasis this camp is on competitive maturity.
Position Groups Need Work
Fourth-year Jalen Raynor is the starting quarterback, but a lot of the starting positions won’t be determined until week three or four of camp. Rogers said in terms of reps, the tight ends, safeties, and defensive line, especially the interior, need the most work.
Iowa State’s season opener is at home against Southeast Missouri State, Sept. 5 at noon.
