In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Educational Center in Wylie, Texas, has welcomed five exotic cats from Safe Haven Wildlife Sanctuary in Imlay, Nevada. The animals were relocated after the Nevada sanctuary ended its operations due to its aging founders being unable to find new ownership.

Providing Lifelong Care

The well-being and future care of the animals remained the highest priority throughout the process. In coordination with experienced animal care teams, two caracals, two cougars, and one tiger have been safely relocated to In-Sync Exotics, where they will continue to receive lifelong care, enrichment, veterinary support, and appropriate habitats and diets tailored to their individual needs.

The In-Sync Exotics team had a second transport team that assisted in relocating several other animals from Safe Haven to the Exotic Feline Rescue Center in Center Point, Indiana. The transports were completed with detailed planning and oversight to minimize stress on the animals. Upon arrival at their new home, they will continue to receive veterinary evaluations and have the time to acclimate to their new surroundings.

While the closure of any sanctuary is heartbreaking, we are grateful to help ensure these animals remain safe, healthy, and well cared for.”
