A tragic shooting occurred at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, resulting in the deaths of three people, including an employee who had traveled from California to help with the store’s opening.

Victim Identified

Ashley Garibay, a dedicated In-N-Out Burger employee from Stockton, California, was among those killed in the shooting. Her family described her as an ‘amazing, beautiful soul’ who loved her work and was passionate about training new employees.

Garibay was part of a team that traveled to Idaho to help expand the restaurant chain. She had worked with In-N-Out Burger since getting her first job at one of their locations and had dreams of managing a store one day.

Shooting Details

The shooting occurred on a Saturday afternoon when a gunman, identified as 24-year-old Chad Williams, opened fire at the restaurant. The attack ended when Williams shot and killed himself. Police have not yet released information on what led to the shooting.

Witnesses described a chaotic scene, with one customer reporting that she and her daughters were waiting inside when they heard shots from the kitchen. Another witness saw people running across the road and workers bolting out of the restaurant as a man directing traffic warned them of a shooter.

An off-duty state trooper and a civilian fired on Williams, diverting him from the restaurant, according to police. The identities of the other victims have not been officially released, but family and friends identified Christopher Claunch as one of those killed.

Community Response

A candlelight vigil was held in honor of the victims, and a support center was set up for those affected by the shooting. Flags in the city will be at half-staff until next week.
