Hundreds of people gathered to protest in Biddeford, Maine, after a man was shot and killed by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent on Monday morning. The man, identified as Johann Sebastian Guerrero, was shot and killed during a targeted operation by ICE. According to an ICE spokesperson, Guerrero, an illegal immigrant, was the target of the operation and was shot after he drove his car towards an officer.

Many people protested ICE’s actions, while others demonstrated their support. The Biddeford Police Department worked to disperse the crowd as tensions rose between the two groups. Long-time residents of Biddeford said they never thought they would see an incident like this happen so close to home.
The FBI is now in charge of the investigation, and the Maine Attorney General’s office is also conducting its own investigation, assisted by the Maine State Police. The incident has sparked outrage and concern among the community, with many calling for accountability and transparency.
