A new extended-stay hotel will open in Texarkana next week. The 121-room Hyatt Studios, located at 2401 University Ave, is scheduled to welcome its first guests on July 10.
Expansion and Growth
This opening marks another step in DPN Collection’s recent expansion. According to a news release, DPN has grown from operating two hotels a year ago to a portfolio of 13 properties across Texas and Arkansas.
Chief Operating Officer Jim Huffman expressed excitement about the company’s growth, stating, ‘Our growth over the past year has been remarkable, but what excites me most is the foundation we’re building for the future.’ DPN Collection plans to expand into Louisiana and Oklahoma, with a goal of operating 50 hotels within the next three years.
Barbra S. Walker, regional director of sales for DPN Collection, said bringing Hyatt’s newest extended-stay concept to Texarkana reflects the company’s continued investment in the community. ‘This is an exciting time for our company and for Texarkana,’ Walker said. ‘Bringing Hyatt’s newest upscale extended-stay brand to our community demonstrates DPN Collection’s commitment to investing in the markets we serve while providing guests with accommodations designed for the way people travel today.’
The hotel is also expected to create jobs, generate additional tourism, and support local businesses as it begins operations.
