Carolina Hurricanes winger Andrei Svechnikov is giving it a shot to keep the momentum going during a memorable year. Just days after helping the Hurricanes clinch the Stanley Cup in Las Vegas, Svechnikov is clocking in on Tuesday at the Raising Cane’s Raleigh location.
Fans are welcome to come support Svechnikov during his shift, which begins at 4 p.m. Raising Cane’s opened a restaurant on Hillsborough Street, across from North Carolina State University, in January.
Svechnikov will meet with the media, work with the restaurant’s social media team, prepare food in the kitchen and serve customers. He scored two goals in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final to give the Hurricanes a 3-2 series lead.
