Centric Compounding LLC, a Houston‑based compounding pharmacy, announced a voluntary recall of six lots of its injectable wellness products—Glutathione, Myer’s Cocktail and Tri‑Immune Boost. The recall follows the discovery that the glutathione active ingredient in these batches contained elevated endotoxin levels.

Health risk and reported symptoms

Endotoxins are toxins released from the outer membrane of certain bacteria. When injected, high endotoxin levels can trigger fever, low blood pressure, inflammatory reactions, anaphylactic shock and, in severe cases, death. Centric Compounding reported nine adverse‑event reports linked to the recalled vials, including fever, chills, chest pain, nausea or vomiting, headache and malaise.

Recall details

The affected products are packaged in 30‑milliliter multidose vials and were distributed nationwide through home‑delivery services and shipments to prescribers. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration posted the company’s notice on September 13, 2026, and the recall is being conducted with FDA knowledge.

Consumers who may have received the recalled vials are instructed to stop using them immediately and discard the product. Centric Compounding is notifying distributors and customers by email and is arranging replacement products for affected patients.

Anyone who has experienced a health problem that could be related to the recalled injectables should contact a physician or other health‑care provider right away. Additional adverse‑event reports can be submitted to the FDA through its MedWatch program.
