Hope Public Schools in Arkansas is accepting applications for an appointee to fill a vacant spot on its Board of Education. The opening was created by the recent resignation of Zone 2 member Bubba Powers.
Application Process
To be considered, applicants must be a qualified elector, a registered voter, and a resident of Zone 2. They must also submit a petition stating their intention to be considered for appointment and obtain signatures of at least 20 qualified electors who live in Zone 2.
The deadline to apply is September 4, and applications will be considered at a September 15 board meeting. During the meeting, applicants will have five minutes to speak and answer questions. The application can be completed online or submitted in person at the Hope Public Schools administration building.
