The Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Indianapolis invites the community to its 41st annual Italian Street Festival, a celebration of Italian culture, faith, and family. The event will take place on June 12-13 from 5-11 p.m. at the church’s location on 520 Stevens St.

Festival Highlights

Attendees can look forward to a variety of entertainment, including classic Italian music, local performances, and inflatables for children. The festival will also feature demonstrations and opportunities to play bocce at the nearby Edna Balz Lacy Family Park, located at 700 Greer St.

Italian-made vehicles such as Ducati bikes and Vespa scooters will be on display, adding to the cultural experience. Food lovers can indulge in a wide array of Italian cuisine from 25 vendors, offering everything from pastas to cheesecakes.

Faith and Tradition

Father Jerry Byrd of Holy Rosary Catholic Church emphasized the festival’s significance as a celebration of faith, family, and tradition. He stated, “We invite everyone to pull up a chair, share a meal, and become part of our Italian family for the weekend.”

On June 13, the festival will feature a religious procession at 6:45 p.m., showcasing a Blessed Virgin statue, priests, and members of the Italian Heritage Society. The procession will be followed by a special Mass service at 7 p.m., offering a moment of reflection and community worship.
