Attorney backs juror’s resolve
Desronvil’s attorney, Edward Paltzik, reiterated the juror’s confidence in a separate interview with Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany, stating, “Michael has zero doubt.” Paltzik also denied a local report alleging prior domestic‑violence accusations against Desronvil, calling the claims “false, fabricated, never happened, categorically false.”
Legal back‑and‑forth continues
The case remains unresolved. Clancy is scheduled to return to court for a status conference on Tuesday, where prosecutors are expected to update the court on plans for a new trial. Clancy’s defense team has filed motions to dismiss the charges and to investigate allegations from other jurors that Desronvil refused to uphold the law during deliberations.
Ongoing dispute between attorneys
Clancy’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, has labeled Desronvil an “obstructionist juror” and urged the court to investigate the claims made by other jurors. The dispute adds another layer of tension as both sides prepare for the next phase of the case.
The mistrial was declared earlier this month after the lone holdout juror maintained his belief in Clancy’s guilt, prompting a deadlock among the other eleven jurors.
