On Saturday, June 13, Dr. Richard Allan Fox presented a program titled, Custer’s Last Battle; A Historical Archaeology View, at the Museum at the Bighorns. Dr. Fox specializes in historical archaeology and the prehistory of the Great Plains.

Program Details

The program corresponded with photo exhibits featuring Jasmine Sir Johnson’s 1926 photos of the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Little Bighorn. Dr. Fox is Professor Emeritus of the University of South Dakota and has authored several books on the subject, including Archaeology, History, and Custer’s Last Battle, and co-authored Archaeological Perspectives on the Battle of the Little Bighorn and Archaeological Insights into the Custer Battle.
