Drivers traveling through Hillsborough County next week will need to account for widespread roadwork as the Florida Department of Transportation District 7 begins a fresh round of maintenance and construction projects starting Sunday, August 2.
Interstate Work and Bridge Closures
Interstate commuters will see several active construction zones. On Interstate 75, nightly lane closures between Interstate 4 and Fowler Avenue are scheduled from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., running Sunday, August 2 through Friday, August 28.
Interstate 275 will also have multiple closures throughout the week. Traffic on the Howard Frankland Bridge will be impacted nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., starting August 2 and ending Saturday, August 8.
U.S. Routes and Cross-Bay Commutes
Cross-bay and local commuters on U.S. routes should also expect disruptions. Eastbound lanes on the Gandy Bridge (US 92) will close nightly from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday through Friday, August 7.
