The Hillsborough County Extension Service is offering a series of educational classes and workshops throughout August, covering topics such as gardening, food preservation, financial planning, and environmental stewardship.
Workshop Schedule
The August schedule features classes across several categories, including gardening, food preservation, financial education, and agriculture and environmental education. Most courses are open to beginner-level participants across the county.
Some of the workshops include in-person and virtual classes on composting, microirrigation, rainwater harvesting, and plant selection. There are also classes on water bath canning, cottage foods, and financial education, including one-on-one appointments and a self-paced online course.
Advance registration is required for the majority of the scheduled classes. Residents seeking additional details or registration access can call (813) 744-5519 or access the Extension Service Calendar of Events online.
