Hiatus Day Spa expands to Houston Heights with new historic Clock Tower location

Hiatus Day Spa, a Dallas‑originated med spa known for its membership‑based wellness model, announced today that it will open a second Houston location in the historic Clock Tower building in the Heights. The new site marks the first of a planned four‑location expansion across the Houston area, bringing the brand’s massage therapy, customized facials, body treatments, nail lounge, sauna and relaxation lounge closer to local families.

Promotions for early members

To celebrate the opening, Hiatus is offering a limited‑time promotion. The first 100 guests who purchase a membership will receive a $50 spa credit, an exclusive tote bag and a selection of beauty essentials. In addition, first‑time visitors can enjoy a 25% discount on their initial visit through December 31, according to spa representatives.

CEO emphasizes community focus

Kate Sazer, chief executive officer of Hiatus Day Spa, said the Houston market offers strong growth potential for the company’s family‑friendly wellness concept. “When I first joined Hiatus and visited our Houston spa, I immediately fell in love with the people, the culture, the energy,” Sazer said. “We’ve built an incredible presence across DFW, and we’re excited to create that same kind of footprint in Houston, bringing Hiatus closer to more communities across the city and making regular self‑care more accessible.”

Preserving historic character

The Heights location occupies a property dating back to 1894. Hiatus representatives noted that the renovation will retain the building’s architectural character while incorporating the brand’s signature design elements, such as warm stone, tambour wood and brass accents. The blend of historic charm and modern wellness amenities is intended to appeal to residents who value both tradition and contemporary comfort.

Future expansion plans

Beyond the Heights, Hiatus Day Spa has identified additional neighborhoods for future locations, including Memorial, River Oaks and Bridgeland. The company’s expansion strategy aligns with its mission to provide accessible, high‑quality self‑care options to a broad cross‑section of Houstonians, supporting the health and well‑being of families throughout the region.

What this means for the local economy

The new spa is expected to create a range of jobs, from licensed massage therapists and estheticians to front‑desk staff and maintenance personnel. By revitalizing a historic building and drawing customers to the Heights, Hiatus contributes to the neighborhood’s economic vitality and reinforces the area’s reputation as a vibrant, family‑oriented community.

Residents interested in learning more about membership options, promotional offers or the grand opening schedule can visit Hiatus Day Spa’s website or contact the Heights location directly.
