The White Lotus, an Emmy-winning TV show, is currently filming its fourth season at the Château de la Messardière, a 19th-century palatial home turned resort in the French Riviera.
Filming Location
The show’s creator, Mike White, chose the French Riviera as the filming location after ruling out the Alps due to his dislike of cold weather. The Château de la Messardière was confirmed as the principal filming location earlier this year.
A guest at the hotel, Kat Jamieson, witnessed the filming of a poolside scene featuring actress Laura Dern. Jamieson was delighted to see the filming take place and even got to observe the crew at work.
Hotel and Filming
The Château de la Messardière is a luxurious resort with multiple pools, tennis courts, and an outdoor gym. The hotel’s guests were not disturbed by the filming, and some were even able to watch the filming take place from their rooms.
The show’s crew also filmed at Saint-Tropez’s Pampelonne Bay, known for its pristine golden sand and exclusive beach clubs. The filming was visible from the hotel’s rooms, and guests were able to take photos and videos when the cameras were not rolling.
