The Harvest House Farmers Market will focus on fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, honey, dairy, eggs and other items made by local growers, makers and producers. Burks said the goal is to keep the atmosphere “like a true farmers market” while carefully balancing vendor categories so no single type dominates.

Markets are planned for Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Burks hopes to launch the first sessions within the next few weeks and keep them running through the end of November. A special Christmas and holiday market is also slated for December.

Community impact

Harvest House, the city’s largest live‑music bar and beer garden, will use its existing space—complete with local beers on tap and a full‑service bar—to host the market. By bringing together local growers and artisans, the market aims to strengthen Denton’s small‑business ecosystem and give families a convenient, family‑friendly destination for fresh, locally sourced products.

Burks and her husband, Matt, took ownership of Harvest House in June. While the venue is known for its music and beverage offerings, the addition of a farmers market expands its role as a community hub.

Looking ahead

Harvest House is still finalizing vendor selections and will release the first group of participants at a later date. Burks expressed excitement about the market’s growth, saying, “We’re really excited to see how it grows and hopefully make it something the Denton community can enjoy weekly with us.”
