A man’s death is part of a shooting investigation in New Hampshire’s Hampton Beach early Sunday morning, authorities said.
While there was no known threat to the general public, the investigation has closed parts of three streets, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.
The shooting was reported in the area of P Street, prosecutors and state and local police said. They were still looking into the exact circumstances of the shooting — it wasn’t immediately clear what led to the man’s death.
Parts of P and Ashworth street and Ocean Boulevard were closed during the investigation.
No other information was released early in the investigation.
The shooting would have taken place in the wake of July 4 celebrations.
