Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, Missouri, has been building, repairing, and preserving homes for over 30 years. Since 1988, the organization has partnered with local families to provide safe, affordable housing throughout Greene County. More than 800 homes have been built or renovated, thanks to the support of businesses, volunteers, churches, and neighbors.
Building Homes, Transforming Lives
The process of building a home begins long before the walls go up. It starts with a prepared site, then concrete, lumber, windows, doors, roofing, heating and cooling, cabinets, flooring, and countless skilled hands. Local businesses donate materials, skilled labor, equipment, property, and professional services to help build Habitat homes.
Companies across the Ozarks have been supporting Habitat for Humanity for years. Dale’s Roofing, Signature HVAC, Wilgus IQ, Discount Dave’s, ROOV Roofing, Conco Concrete, Ryan Lawn, and Northside Christian Church are just a few examples of businesses that have helped build homes that will serve families for generations.
Habitat families work for their homes, completing financial education, investing sweat equity, and purchasing their homes with an affordable mortgage. Ninety percent of local Habitat partner homebuyers report an improved outlook on life after becoming homeowners.
At Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, individual gifts become stronger neighborhoods, stable families, and opportunities that last for generations. If it’s part of a home, it’s part of the solution. Businesses, contractors, suppliers, trade professionals, and property owners can become part of future Habitat homes by contacting Mark Murphy, Director of Construction.
