The Greer City Council unanimously passed an update to the city’s Unified Development Ordinance regarding electronic signs and displays. The measure modernizes the city’s digital display standards and addresses issues of using video and animation in displays, aspects of functionality and day/night brightness caps.
Annexation and Zoning
The council also approved the first of two required readings of an ordinance that would annex a 1.5-acre parcel at 2840 South S.C. Highway 101 into the city and establish a zoning classification of commercial corridor. The property is owned by First Citizens Bank & Trust and plans call for a bank to be developed on the parcel.
