Great Southern Bank has announced that it will close nine banking centers in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, and Iowa as part of an organizational restructuring, according to a company press release.
Affected Branches
Three of the branches are in the Springfield region, including one in Springfield, Ozark, and Nixa. All affected Springfield-region branches will close Oct. 1, 2026. The affected Springfield-region banking centers include:
- 331 South Ave., Springfield
- 1444 W. State Highway J, Ozark
- 1391 N. Main St., Nixa
Along with the nine branch closures across four states, the company will eliminate 66 positions across multiple company divisions, according to the press release. The positions will be eliminated on Sept. 30 unless the branch where the employee works closes earlier.
Non-Springfield region affected branches and 2026 closure dates include:
- 150 SE Todd George Parkway, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; Oct. 1
- 6173 Telegraph Road, Oakville, Mo.; Oct. 1
- 2522 Pinnacle Hills Parkway, Rogers, Ark.; Sept. 25
- 15315 W. 135th St., Olathe, Kan.; Oct. 1
- 2805 S. Ankeny Boulevard, Ankeny, Iowa; Oct. 1
- 1290 Copper Creek Drive, Pleasant Hill, Iowa; Oct. 1
