Grand Rapids is gearing up for Restaurant Week, running from November 6 through November 14. The citywide event encourages residents to explore the diverse culinary scene by visiting participating restaurants, checking digital menus, and casting votes for select categories.
To join, diners can register a digital pass at restaurantweekgr.com. The pass saves to a phone’s web browser, allowing guests to check in at any participating venue, view menu options, and submit votes for awards such as Best Appetizer or Most Creative Dish.
28th Street Bistro joins the festivities
One of the featured establishments this year is 28th Street Bistro, located at 5700 28th St SE. Executive Chef DeAndre Love and Director of Sales and Marketing Lisa Calhoun stopped by the FOX 17 Morning Mix to share a sample dish and discuss what diners can expect during Restaurant Week.
Chef Love highlighted the Bistro’s commitment to seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, noting that the week‑long menu will include both classic comfort foods and inventive new plates. “We want to give Grand Rapids families and friends a reason to get out and enjoy a great meal together,” Love said.
Calhoun explained the tiered pricing structure, which provides three price points so diners of all budgets can participate. “Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner, we have options that fit,” she added.
Restaurant Week’s voting component allows patrons to support their favorite dishes, with the results announced at the end of the program. Winners receive recognition across the city’s dining community, helping to spotlight the chefs and restaurants that make Grand Rapids a culinary destination.
Local residents are encouraged to take advantage of the digital pass, explore new flavors, and support the city’s vibrant food scene. For more information, visit the official website or follow the FOX 17 Morning Mix on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
