Golfer Phil Mickelson Loses Club Membership

Phil Mickelson, a six-time major champion, has lost his membership at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, California, following allegations of inappropriate behavior. A female employee at the club accused Mickelson of nonconsensual and inappropriate physical contact earlier this spring.

Incident Details

According to reports, Mickelson approached the woman near the clubhouse before his round. After she rejected his advances, the employee reported the interaction to her supervisors. Club officials launched a review, tracked Mickelson down on the course mid-round, and confronted him with the accusation. He was told to leave the property immediately and departed without finishing his game.

The club later revoked his membership. In a released statement, The Farms Golf Club confirmed they took decisive action after conducting an independent investigation. The facility added that it requires all members to follow a strict code of conduct to maintain a safe environment.

Mickelson’s legal team strongly denies the claims. His attorney, Tom Clare, stated that the accusation is “squarely contradicted by objective, video evidence.” Clare also warned that the golfer is prepared to take legal action over the spread of false rumors.
